Motorcycle parts intervention when power is off

We have already spoken about starting problems in this blog; one was about starting issue with previously cleaned carburetor and the second blog post was about not having a starting issue at first place but when accelerating the motorcycle bogs out.

Description when facing the power problem: Turn the key; hear a click and the lights/power don’t work at all.

Some motorcyclists will approach to change the fuses or to hook charger up for the battery. This will give you some hope, the lights will work for one moment and then everything will be the same.

The motorcycle parts intervention we are talking about here is simple cleaning of the battery terminals. How to do this?

First, take both connections off the battery terminals, first negative than the positive. Clean the terminals and put good quality grease or Vaseline on the terminals. Than reattach first positive connection, negative last.

Unless the battery is bad, this should fix this power problem.
